Ps Congratulations to Peter Murphy & his wife. He surfs at Gtown regularly and kindly organised 2 barrels of Murphys free of charge for last night! (not that it lasted too long!) They were blessed with a beautiful baby Girl yesterday! All doin well!

Surf Lesson Special this Weekend

April 12th & 13th.

This weekend we are holding surf lessons at the following times:

Friday April 11th 6pm (Start your weekend off with a surf!)

Saturday April 12th 11am & 2pm

Sunday April 13th 11am & 2pm (the 2pm lesson is for under 16's only)

Anyone who books a lesson for this weekend can be in with a chance of winning a voucher for €30 to spend in Offshore Surf Shop Kinsale or winning a Voucher for a Surf lesson with us at Gtown. Just call or email us to book your place, info@surfgtown.com / 087 8768549.

Earth Hour

Earth Hour 2008

I just signed up for Earth Hour 2008 and I thought you might like to
take a look and possibly sign up too.

Earth Hour is on 29 March 2008 at 8pm. So far, as well as Sydney,
there'll also be Adelaide, Atlanta, Bangkok, Brisbane, Canberra,
Chicago, Christchurch, Copenhagen, Dublin, Manila, Melbourne,
Montreal, Odense, Ottawa, Perth, Phoenix, San Francisco, Suva, Tel
Aviv, Toronto and Vancouver all turning off their lights for an hour
in the name of fighting global warming.

Greenpeace Against Whale Slaughter! Please support this campaign to help prevent the Japanese Whaling expedition from slaughtering Fin, Minke & Humpback Whales. This is the first time since the 60's that the Humpback is being targeted! What a disaster!

Ningaloo Surf Shop, Bandon, West Cork Zeta runs a great shop in Bandon and stocks such brands as Xcel wetsuits, Surftech, Billabong, Rip Curl. Particularly good for clothes!

Irish Whale and Dolphin Group. Avery active Irish group protecting the 24 recorded species of Cetaceans here in Ireland. You can get involved either by becoming a member or reporting strandings of dead or alive species on your own stretch of coastline.

Kieran Burns Board Review Blog. Garrettstown Local Kierans Burns has put together this comprehensive board review site. Its a great resource and would suit anyone thinking of changing their board. In particular Kieran has some good ideas on fin designs etc.

Surfers For Cetaceans A group of Surfers lead by Dave Rastovich working & campaigning to end the slaughter of Whales & Dolphins. They do great work and need support from all surfers!
